Reflections on HEFWA: Higher Education Financial Wellness Alliance Participating in this summit introduced me to some of the most passionate and empathetic individuals I've encountered in a long time. It was truly inspiring to be among people whose primary mission is to empower students by guiding them through the complexities of financial wellness. What struck me most, beyond their visible dedication? Many shared personal stories of their own financial missteps. Their honesty was not about judgment but about genuine empathy and a shared commitment to learning and teaching. Their courage in admitting imperfections was refreshing. Regardless of age or status, we all shared common human experiences. We discussed nervousness about public speaking, and the overwhelming nature of our roles. Yet, it was reassuring to hear respected leaders in their fields acknowledge similar struggles and cheer each other on.
